Care & Maintanance
To maintain your wood-fired oven, regularly clean out ash and debris after each use to ensure proper airflow and efficient heating. Use a soft brush or scraper to remove soot and food residue from the interior. Season the oven by slowly heating it up with small fires to prevent cracks, especially after long periods of inactivity. Protect the oven from moisture by covering it when not in use and avoid exposing it to rain. Periodically inspect for cracks or damage, and seal any with appropriate refractory materials to extend the oven's lifespan. We will be able to help with any replacement parts.
3 Year Warranty
Alfresco Chef guarantee the wood fired oven and its components to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for up to 3 years.

Easy to use, does a brilliant job
I wanted the ooni but couldn’t afford it, got this instead and haven’t regretted it for a second. Used it several times, it’s so easy to use and makes fabulous pizzas. If you are considering it I’d say go ahead. It’s great.

Brilliant piece of kit and super value for money. Looked at others cheaper but lacked insulation, this one is well made, a great looker and actually works amazingly. 20 minutes to get to temperature and then cooks the pizza in 60 seconds!!! I can't recommend this oven enough.

Ember Oven FAQ's
How long does the Ember wood fired oven take to heat up?
The Ember oven takes around 15-20 minutes to get to 400°C for cooking a classic neapolitan pizza.
It's also very well suited for cooking at lower temperatures for cooking things beyond pizza and will take less time to reach these temperatures.
What fuel do you use in the Ember?
To light the Ember, we recommend using our wood wool firelighters alongside our dried oak kindling.
Then once the fire is going we prefer to keep the temperature high and to cook with our 100% pure wood pellets, which come in a range of different natural flavours.
How long does it take to cook a pizza?
Standard Neapolitan pizza should take between 1-2 minutes to cook in the Ember oven so we recommend keeping a very close eye on it during cooking. Turning it regularly to ensure that it's cooked evenly all the way round.
For other style pizza's including deep dish, they may take up to 8-10 minutes to cook and should be kepy at a lower temperature.
Can the Ember oven cook more than pizza?
Absolutely! At Alfresco Chef we're huge advocates of the tast of wood fired cooking and we use it to cook all sorts of things. We have a whole recipe section of things that you can cook in your wood fired oven. Everything from lamb shoulder through to sticky toffee pudding and everything inbetween.
How much does the Ember oven weigh?
The Ember oven is Alfresco Chef's most portable sized oven and weighs only 16kg.
It also has folding legs so that it can be neatly packed away to take with you on an adventure or to store neatly away.
